Cenith Scan is a document scanner for iPhone. It is built so that the documents you scan never leave your device. This policy explains what the app does with your information, which in short is: nothing beyond what it needs to work on your iPhone.

What the app does not collect

We do not require an account, a sign-in or an email address.
We do not upload your scans, photos, signatures or recognised text to any server.
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking tools, and we do not sell or share personal data.

Processing on your device

Page detection, AI page flattening and lighting correction, finger removal, text recognition and search all run locally on your iPhone. Your documents, the text recognised in them and your saved signatures are stored in the app's private storage on your device. They are included in your iPhone backups according to your own iCloud or computer backup settings, which Apple manages.

Permissions

Camera — to scan pages. Images are used only to create your scans.
Photos — only the photos you choose in the system picker are imported, and the app saves to your library only when you export there.
Face ID — only if you turn on the app lock. Face ID is handled entirely by iOS; the app never sees or stores your face data.

Sharing

Documents leave the app only when you export or share them yourself, for example to Files, AirDrop, Mail or another app. What happens next is governed by the app or service you choose.

Deleting your data

Delete a document in the app to remove it and its original photos. Deleting the app removes everything it stored on your device.

This website

cenithscan.app uses no cookies, analytics or third-party scripts and loads no external fonts. Like any web server, ours keeps standard access logs (such as IP address, time and page requested) for security and troubleshooting, and does not use them for anything else.

Children

Cenith Scan does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
